New City Fellowship began May 15, 1994 around the vision to be a cross-cultural church, ministering to black and white, rich and poor, male and female, young and old. As a PCA congregation, we believe in the full inspiration of the Scriptures, and seek to preach the whole counsel of God to the whole person.

“Where Are My Figs?”
"Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit."
Why would Jesus curse a fig tree for not bearing figs when it wasn’t the season for figs? How does the cursing of the fig tree fit in the context? How much of our worship lacks substance? How much of our Christian life is a fake? Does our tree look green and full of fruit from a distance, but when someone comes close there is no fruit? The Lord moves in us to produce a relationship with Him that is defined by a relationship of substance.
